🪸 Only Reefs Livestock Shipping Policy

At Only Reefs, we pride ourselves on supplying healthy, tank-conditioned corals. Every order is packed with care using professional packing methods to maximise survival and minimise stress during transit.

Because we are shipping live animals, all dispatch decisions are made with the coral’s welfare as the highest priority.


📦 Shipping Days & Dispatch

Livestock orders are shipped Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only.

This ensures parcels are not held in transit over weekends and reduces the risk of delays.

Orders placed after our weekly shipping cutoff may be scheduled for the following week. You will receive tracking details once your order has been dispatched.

Shipping Holds & Delays

Only Reefs reserves the right to delay or reschedule shipment if conditions are not suitable for safe transport, including:

  • Extreme heat or cold along the delivery route

  • Severe weather events

  • Courier network disruptions

  • Public holidays

  • Coral health or recovery after fragging

If we delay your order, we will contact you to arrange the next appropriate shipping date.


🌡️ Packing Standards

All livestock is packed using insulated packaging and appropriate heat or cold packs when required.
Each coral is individually bagged to prevent damage and contamination during transit.

While we take every precaution, shipping livestock always carries some level of risk, which is accepted by placing an order.


🛡️ Live Arrival Guarantee (DOA Policy)

We offer a Live Arrival Guarantee provided the following requirements are strictly followed.

In the event of a DOA claim:

1️⃣ You must take clear photos of the coral in the sealed bag BEFORE opening
2️⃣ Photos must be emailed or messaged to us within 1 hour of delivery time
3️⃣ The coral must be removed out of the bag after photo has been taken and placed into aquarium.
4️⃣ The shipping label must be visible in at least one photo

⚠️ Claims submitted without a photo of the coral in the bag will not be accepted
⚠️ Claims submitted after the 1-hour window will not be accepted

Approved claims will be issued as store credit only. Shipping costs are non-refundable.


📬 Customer Responsibilities

By purchasing livestock, you agree to the following:

  • Ensure someone is available to receive the parcel on first delivery attempt

  • Monitor tracking and collect the parcel promptly

  • Acclimate livestock appropriately upon arrival

Only Reefs is not responsible for losses due to:

  • Missed deliveries or parcels left unattended

  • Incorrect shipping details supplied at checkout

  • Delays caused by the courier

  • Stress or loss occurring after the coral has been removed from the bag


🚚 Shipping Risk & Liability

Once your order leaves our facility, responsibility transfers to the courier.
While we will assist where possible, Only Reefs cannot guarantee transit times and is not liable for courier-related delays.
